Indiana Oak.

Most people of Indiana will be surprised to learn that Indiana oak is considered the best in the market, says the Elkhart Review. Wood buyers from London and Liverpool, and from other markets on the continent, offer from $4 to |8 a thousand more for Indiana oak than for other kinds produced in the United States. This might be a suggestion to defenders of forestry that there is a pecuhiary basis of immediate value in the raising of certain kinds of timber in this state.
