Oats sowing is a thing of the past in this section. About two hundred acres of onions have been put out here this season, which insures plenty of work this summer and fall. Bert Camp, who has been working at Kersey the past winter, is working here at present. Mrs. A. B. Dunfee is visiting friends at North Judson for a few days.' Mrs H. E. Gifford went to Kankakee, 111., Saturday, for a few days’ visit with relatives. Jesse Fox was here this week taking the enumeration of school children. Miss Cassie Akers, of Rensselaer, visited her parents east of town over Sunday. B. S. Fendig, of egg and poultry fame, was a visitor in our town one day last week. Mr and Mrs. Joseph Haddock are visiting friends at Chalmers for a few days. Reniker Bros., of Rensselaer, were visiting friends in this vicinity Sunday.
