APPOINTED CADET.

Congressman Crumpacker Appoints Taylor McCoy to a Cadetship at Annapplis. Taylor McCoy, eon of Hon. T. J. McCoy, of Rensselaer, was last week appointed to a cadetship at the U. 8. naval academy at Annapolis. Walter C.'Burbank, of Lafayette, is his first alternate. The course of study at the academy is four years, and after that comes four years in the navy. At the expiration of the eight years the cadets can reenlist if they so desire. The pay is |550 per year and board. They are allowed leave of absence once every two years. Taylor has given up his school work at the Orchard Lake Military Academy and will leave for Annapolis in a week or two and take a preparatory course in a school there previous to examination.
