The Circuit Court.

The April term of the circuit court convened Monday. Coon Burk was fined §5 and costs for assault and battery upon the person of Bill Hurley. Wm. Hale plead not guilty to stealing Judy’s cultivator and his trial was set for the third Wednesday of the term. J. E. Wilson has been appointed to defend him. J. W. Tanner, of Thayer, who is charged with perjury in swearing to the age of Henry Boswinkle on the occasion of the latter applying for a license to marry Sylvia Granger* Boswinkle’s father was opposed to the marriage, and had Granger arrested. He claims that his son was not as old as Tanner swore he was, and that Tanner also swore that the bride was a resident of this county, when she was not. His trial is set for April 29th.
