The Dr. Wilson Matter.

The Journal has no desire to create a prejudice against Dr. Wilson, of Thayer, under arrest for bigamy, but it might be well to wait until the trial before bestowing sympathy or condemnation upon him. The Journal has been informed that wife No. 1 is not wife No. 1 after all, but that there were two others before she appeared. The story is that Wilson, while making his home with another doctor, made love to the latter’s wife, (the dne posing as wife number one) and an elopement followed. Whether wife No. 1 was finally freed by a divorca we have not been informed but if she married Wilson without that formality, she is the one guilty of bigamy, and Dr. Wilson could not be prosecuted on that charge, unless there are other wives to turn up later.
