Every since Trustee Blue, of Marion township, has refused to give his printing to the Democrat office he has been the special mark for the vindictiveness of its editor. Last week the Democrat contained a lying insinuation intimating that an officer of Marion township (meaning Mr. Blue} is holding his office by proxy and is prostituting the office for the benefit of others. This is but one of many similar articles aimed at Mr. Blue and last Saturday he bearded .the Democrat editor in his den and served notice npon Babcock to cease his' lying, or take the consequences—in other words—a good threshing. The Democrat editor grabbed a mallet and a column rule and threatening to use both ordered Mr. Blue to leave the office The latter, however, refused to go until he had transacted his business, and strange to say neither the mallet or shooting stick was used.
