Birthday Occasion.

On Inst Sunday, April fl, theneigbora, friends and relatives of George W. Casey of, Union township, to the number of twenty-five, stole a march on him, for the purpose of performing certain long established rites, customs and ceremonies, in connection with and relative to his fifty-first birthday. Large baskets were filled to overflowing with the best of edibles from generous larders and pantries, and were emptied upon the long tables in the dining room. All ate to a finish. After the sumptous repast, music, games and other social entertainments formed the order of exercises. V The occasion was enjoyed by all present and judging from present appearances George will live to celebrate many more birthdays iu his pleasant home. ; A Witness.
