A Plague of Butterflies.

A. remarkable phenomenon was recently witnessed at Padona, Italy. C!louds of white butterflies have hung over the town and the surrounding country. So great was their number that they gave the appearance of a snowstorm, and the bouses, streets and trees rapidly became white. The butterflies even penetrated to the interior of houses and all windows had to be closed.
