Blackford

Quarterly meeting was held at Parr last Saturday /and Sunday. Presiding Elder Goodwin conducted the meeting. E. C. Switzer and wife spent Sunday with her parents at Dewdrop. Theodore Hurley and wife went to the city on business last Saturday.

Quite a shower and plenty of thunder and lightning Monday night. Al Fletcher has moved to Rensselaer and will now be a city resident. All the tenant houses here change occupants this spring. A family moved in the old Frank Zimmerman house last Monday. Did not learn the name. They said they came from nine miles southeast of McCoysburg. Some of the people here are making early garden. It is warm and ground in good order but very windy. Lots of building and repairing houses here this spring. Not much time for visiting.
