will generally correct this difficulty. If you will put from onefourth to half a teaspoonful in baby’s bottle three or four times a day you will soon see a marked improvement For larger children, from half to a teaspoonful, according to age, dissolved in their milk, if you so desire, will very soon show its great nourishing power. If the mother's milk does not nourish the baby, she needs the emulsion. it will show an effect at once both upon mother and child. 50c. and si.oo, all druggists. SCOTT & BOWNE, Chemists, New York.

That double jointed quadruple conglomeration of idiocy, the Demo rat correspondent, dwelt at leng h in last weeks’ issue on the merits of a wheel-barrow for a vehicle in which to deliver goods, but Mr. T. wishes to state that when he delivers to the aforesaid there is never enough to make it worth while taking the barrow. Abraham Miller, of near Wheatfield, has bought the Churchill place just north of Blackford and moved last week. He is going to build a new house on it right'off. Getting married and moving is the rage just now, but the girls should ask the man when he proposes if he has a house to take them to. If not say no, or you may have to live out of doors, for tenant houses are too scarce. The old Zimmerman place looks very lonely now, but suppose it will be occupied by somebody soon. There is whisper of two or three more weddings soon in this vicinity, but the old folks would object unless one of the contracting parties has a house to live in. G. B. Switzer and family spent last Sunday with his parents.
