The pension of Hiram Jacks has been increased from $8 to sl2 per month. * Robert Shook, of Barkley township, has purchased a feed and hitch barn>« at Fowler and will move there in a few days. , By request, the sermon, “Is There Not a Cause,” will be repeated at the M. E. church next Sunday morning. It is earnestly requested that all the members be present, as well as outsiders. Dr. I. B. Washburn will be brought home from the Presbyterian hospital at Chicago, Sunday. He has not been making the progress towards recovery since the operation that was hoped for. A letter was received at the post office the other day addressed to Nubbin Ridge. Postmaster Meyer sent it I on to Aix, and it was delivered to the addressee. According to Vet Jenkins’ I location of Nubbin Ridge the letter ' should have been forwarded to Blackford.
