SHOOTING TOURNAMENT.

J. L. Dietrick Carries Off the Silver Medal. Brown & Pullins gave a two days’ blue rock shooting tournament at Riverside Park, in Rensselaer, last Wednesday and Thursday. M. W. Thompson, of Lafayette, made the highest average for the two days, 84; but J. L. Dietrick, of Wavelaud, carried off the silver medal. The old gentleman is 66 years of age. He has taken part in such tournaments for the* past forty years and annually on his birthday gives a big shoot. In the silver medal shoot Dietrick and Emmet Pullins tied, each breaking 14 out of 15 birds. On the shoot-off Dietrick broke 9 out oflO, and Pullins7 out of 10, which gave the medal to Dietrick.
