GUILTY AS CHARGED.

Ervin Lewis Fined One Dollar and Costs for Rape. After a trial before a jury in the circuit court lasting from Monday morning until yesterday noon, Ervin Lewis was fined fl and Costs for committing a rape upon the person of Miss Myrtle Fay.’ The offense was committed some months ago while returning home from church at Aix, near which place the girl lived. The court room was crowded during the progress of the trial, but nd good can be accomplished by giving the details of the trial in these columns. John Stowers, of Fair Oaks, w as arrested by Constable Vick charged with stealing a rick of straw from Edward Coll, of Parr. Squire Burnham bound him over to the circuit court in the sum of SSO, in default of which he is now in jail.
