Gilbert Heuson went to Brook Friday, to meet his father, who has been .visiting in Will county, 111., for the past two weeks. William Anderson, of McCoysburg, and Miss Stella Pollock, of this place, were married Monday, the loth. We wish them a long and happy life. Dan Blake, who lives thrqe miles southwest of town, will go to St. Louis in the near future and will work at painting the coming season. Roy Wood is still sick with pneumonia. Ms. Charles, a son-in-law of John Nissius, is visiting at the latter’s home. Hanley for judge every time. Frank Pollard purchased a team of W. E. Newman. They were of the long eared variety. «. David Waymire has purchased a fine team of horses. Dave says, however, that they will both be old enough to vote at the coming election. W. Heuson purchased a fine cow and calf of the Hereford breed at Peotone, 111. Mrs. Marion Adams spent last week with her sister, Mrs. C. B. Harrold, at Hammond. Mrs. Chas. Daley spent Sunday with tjer sister, Mrs. Kate Toops. John W. Daley and Joseph H. Toops spent the evening with Charlie Beets last Wednesday. Marion and Joseph Adams loaded two cars of cattle Wednesday evening at Rensselaer. T. H. Beets returned from a business trip to Kokomo last week. Roy Gish has symptoms of chicken pox. W. Walters is moving onto the farm vacated by C. E. Fisher. “Josh” Mayo has departed for Illinois. May success attend him. There will probably be a box social at Slaughter school house in the near future. Bert Dowell was the guest of his brother in law, C. N. Slaughter, Monday.
T. W. Spencer, of Wolcott, passed through Sharon Friday. We note that James Brown’s name appears at the '‘tail end” of a sale bill, making one more who has by his act and deed declared himself tired of Milroy township, George Farmer and wife went to Newton county Friday to visit their daughter, Mrs. Sage, returning Sunday. Pearl Reed was the guest of Mary and Edith Adams Sunday. Walter Desbrow attended quarterly meeting at Green school house Sunday evening.
