Ellis for Mayor.

J. H. 8. Ellis, at the earnest solicitation of his many friends, has consented to make the race for city mayor on the Republican ticket. No other name has been mentioned so far and it is probable that be will be the only candidate before the convention. No better selection could be made and the present mayor will no doubt willingly turn the office over to so worthy a successor.
