A Matter of Congratulation.
Winamac Republican. Rensselaer people are all cut up because in the Chicago Chronicle’s write-up of Northern Indiana’s society people, not one word was mentioned of Jasper’s county-seat. If the folsome flattery, the reportorial revenge, the bristling blunders which marked almost every sentence of Winamac’s “society” write-up was characteristic of the contributions from other Northern Indiana towns, then surely Rensselaer people should cease their mourning and congratulate themselves that they were left out. Why anyone should weep because their pictures were not published is more than the Journal understands. Such publication would be an empty honor at best, as their write-ups are merely a business matter with ths Chronicle and do not express its sentiments in the least.
