The Plague In Glasgow.
The medical officer of health has declared the city of Glasgow full of plague, and the ten days "after the last case” required by the Venice convention is now in force. In all only five people were infected and of them only one died. The Central hotel, where the five were employed, has been reopened, and to convince travelers that there was no danger the lord provost dined and slept in tho place on the opening night. Thousands of rats have been destroyed since the first case of plague was announced, and the campaign is being prosecuted as vigorously as ever.
