Easy Problem in High School.

To Bee objects at a distance of 100 miles the observer must be standing at a hight of 6.667 feet above the level of the sea. The rule Is that the distance in miles at which an -object on the earth’s surface may be seen is equal to the square root of one and a half times the hight of the observer In feet above the sea level, allowance being made for the effect of atmospheric refraction.
