Commissioners’ Court.

The commissioners met in regular session Monday and., transacted the following business: Saloon license was granted to Charles A. Gundy of Fair Oaks. Angeline Walters et al, petition for highway. Report approved and highway ordered established. Jacob D. Rich et al, petition for ditch. Remonstrance filed. Web Jackson, Christian Hensler and Jack Hudson appointed reviewers. Barbara Kelley, petition for ditch. Report approved and viewers discharged. Amos H. Alter et al, petition for ditch. Report of viewers approved and final report ordered. Henry Huffman et al, petition for ditch. Felix French, Henry Grow and Wm. Daniels appointed viewers. C. M. Blue, trustee of Marion township, presented a report showing a balance of $416.92 in his hands for the relief of the poor and medical attendance.

Wm. L. Rich was appointed a constable for Carpenter township. Wm. Augspurger et al, petition for ditch. Richard Grow, L. Strong and Sylvester Gray appointed viewers. A. F. Long et al, petition for ditch. Peter Wasson, W. H. Hoover and Win. Washburn appointed viewers. Wm. Blankenbaker, petition for highway. John Porter, Christian Hensler and John Hudson appbinted viewers. The Odd Fellows of Gifford and vicinity to the number of 130 met at the Gifford hall Tuesday night and enjoyed themselves in a social way to their hearts content. A fine supper was a feature of the evening.
