Growth of Dar-es-Salaam.

Dar-es-Salaam, the capital of German East Africa, which, seven years ago, was a village inhabited by 100 natives, is now a town with 300 European and 21,000 native inhabitants. It has three hotels, several hundred stores and a newspaper.
