The City Council.
The city council met in regular session Monday evening. Q. A. Strickfaden was granted retail city liquor license. One thousand dollars were ordered transferred from tne road fund to the corporation. The city treasurer made a report as follows; Amount on hand in corporation fund, $1540.63; road fund, overdrawn, $268.73; amount on hand in water fund, $1961.87; light fund, overdrawn, $337.98. J. H. Chapman was granted a permit to erect a oue story frame building 28 by 100 feet on the corner of Van Rensselaer and Cornelia street. It is understood the building will be occupied by Renicker Bros. with an implement store. The assessments on Front and Merritt streets were confirmed with a few changes.
