Much interest has been caused by the statement of Miss Wu Chon Ching, the adopted daughter of Minister Wu Ting-fang, the Chinese minister to America, who is now In Washington, that she intends to cease binding her feet into “golden lilies” as is the custom and that when she takes her place again at the head of society in Pekin she will do all that may be done to cause her slaters to do the same.
