The East and West Railroad.

The stockholders of the east and west railroad held a meeting at Mi. Ayr, Friday, Nov. 16th, and re elected all the old officers. Everythin" in connection with the enterprise up to date, Indicates that the road will he flushed to--completion as rapidly as the work of snob a vast underlaid? g pill permit IFiniincinllv the ent< r prise is in a condition where the work can no longer be materially hindered on that score, even though certain townships in the cast and along <he proposed line should vole against I lie proposition, inasmuch as there is already sufficient money in sight to build a goodly portion of the road, which, when completed, can he mortgaged, if necessary, toseenre sufficient funds to complete another section, and so on until the road is completed. By this, we do not wish to he understood ns intimating that- there is not sufficient, funds to carry on Him work, we simply make the statement to show that every doubtful feature in connection with ti e work has been met and provided for.
