Rensselaer Journal, Volume 11, Number 25, Rensselaer, Jasper County, 28 November 1901 — The Rensselaer Foot Ball Team. [ARTICLE]
The Rensselaer Foot Ball Team.
Delphi Journal. Rensselaer has a great team, every man a foot ball player, and always in the game. Not a position is weak. In Sayler and Parcels they have two wonders, and can be called upon at any time for a game. It seems impossible to get a team that can give Rensselaer a good game, and as near as we can learn there is only one team in the state that is in their class and that team is a professional team, representing the Athletic club of South Bend, of which Pat O’Dea plays full back. O’Dea, it will be remembered, played with Wisconsin, and is the greatest kicker in the world. It iB reported that a game will be arranged shortly after Thanksgiving between South Bend and Rensselaer.
