The 9th is the central day of the reactionary period An unusual combination of disturbing causes hears on the regular storm period wliicli is central on the 15th, covering the 13th to the 18111. The conjunction of lm.on with the sun on the 12th will precipitate the change to warmer, and leturning storms of rain and snow will pass across the country about Monday, ihe 14th, to Thursday, the I7t h. The chances for heavy autumnal gales over the lakes and north Atlantic are many at this period. At the crisis of t hose storms it will be hi st to look for some early winter. Snoyv and sleet are more than probable in northern neeikn.s The 20th to 21st are central days of a reactionary time of autumnal dis turbances. This change will be fol lowed by rains, fringed in the north by sleet and snow, will traverse die country from west to east, during the s?oth to 22d. Some of the heaviest storms of the month may certainly be counted on during the Vulcan storm period ceutral ou the 26th.
