The Vses of Society Fads.

A newsdealer has called attention to the complete disappearance of the rage for collecting gay colored posters. A year or two ttgo every new and striking poster was seized eagerly by collectors, and no- young society woman’s boudoir or eollege student’s den was complete without lavish poster decorations. Now the craze is dead, yet the supply of posters is more artistic and abundant than ever before. Probably the increased supply killed the fad. In order to be the vogue a thing must be comparatively scarce. If mezzotints were as abundant as etchings they would not sell for thousands of dollars apiece.
