India's Army Elephants.

Elephants In ' the Indian army am fed twice a day. When meal time arrives they are drawn up before plica of food. Each animal’s breakfast includes 10 pounds of raw rice done up in five two pound packages. The rice Is wrapped In leaves and then tied with grass. At the command "Attention!” each elephant raises his trunk and a package Is thrown Into his capacious mouth. By this method of feeding not a single grain of rice hi wasted.
