A New Kind of Loan.

William H. Rogers, cashier of the Nassau bank and one of the bestknown men in banking circles in New York city, tells the story of a customer who came to the bank and said he had just declined to make a “Kathleen Mavourneen” loan. In his long experience in banking Mr. Rogers had heard of many varieties of loans, but never one of this genus. So he asked what kind of a loan a "Kathleen Mavourneen” loan was.
