The Population of Canada.
The present population of Canada is 5,400,000. There has been a gain of 600,000 in ten years. This is the same gain as that of Chicago during the last decade. Ten years ago the population of the Dominion was one-thirteenth that of the United States. It is less than one-fourteenth now. It is natural that there should be disappointment in Canada over this slow growth.
