Dr. Demfee and Taylor Haukees were in Kniman Friday night on business. George McDaniels, who went to Oklahoma last spring, was a Newland visitor Saturday. Earl Gay visited his parents at Lee over Sunday. Germain’& O’Meara are painting at Kersey this week. One of J. H. McNeese’s little girls is quite sick with eresipelas. Dr. Schwier, of Wheatfield, is attending her. Mr. and Mrs. John Holladay returned to their home at Chicago Saturday, after a months’ visit with the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Omer Calahan, near Newland There was a suprise party on one of our young men last Thursday night, but he happened to hear about it, so just as everybody came he went to the barn and got a horse and rode away.
