THE WEDDING RING.

▲ long time ago the wedding ring was worn on the forefinger, and was thickly studded with precious stones. People who have seen the old pictures of the Madonna in Rome will remember that in one or two of them there is * glistening ring on the forefinger of her right hand, but with Christianity earns the wearing of the wedding ring on the third finger rather than the first.
