Canada's Census Returns.

The Official organs of the Canadian government are preparing the country tor the disappointment in store when the official census returns are made known. Instead of the confident predictions of 6,000,000 and over, the returns so far completed indicate less than 5,550,000. The evidence points to the shortage as due to the eteadily diminishing percentage of births, which in Ontario is now too well established to be disputed, and the continued emigration of Canadians to the United States.
