Carnegie Aids Scotch Colleges.

It is reported that the Earl of Elgin has been made chairman of the trust which will supervise the distribution of Andrew Carnegie’s gift to the Scottish universities. Mr. Carnegie has stated that the amount he proposes to allot to the universities will be nearer three million pounds than two.
