Miss Raskey is working for Mrs. Theodore Hurley. Mrs. Long visited Mrs. Newman Snow last Sunday. Miss Hardesty carries the mail from Gifford to Blackford. Mrs. Lura Potts visited in the city and did her shopping last Saturday. Quite warm and nice showers. Good prospect for fruit of all kinds. Farmers preparing to plant com as fast as they can. A few have planted. Holdridge Clark and wife, of Rensselaer, visited Zebedee Swaim’s at Aix last Saturday. Miss Lora Steele started to lowa last week. She expects to make her home with her uncle Frank Steele. Mr. Renicker has (engaged his strawberry pickers for this season at the Popular Grove fruit farm. Fruit trees are so full of bloom that if one half matures, there will be an abundance of every kind, and oats and grass are doing well.
