Cam planting is all the go. Earl Hewith worked for Harry Gifford at Laura last week. Quite a number of boys from McCoysburg took in the sights of Newland Sunday. Work has begun on the oil line and will be pushed as fast as possible. T- M. Callahan and wife visited Freeman Gifford, of Laura, Sunday. William White visited friends near Francesville Sunday. William Ballan, jr., drove to Kankakee, 111., Saturday, returning Sunday. Cyril Steel was a Newland visiter Sunday. Frank Parker and wife were in Rensselaer on business Monday. German and O’Meara went to Chicago Saturday on a business trip. John Kieth, of Wheatfield, was here on a business trip a couple of days last week. John’ Shellhart visited friends at Francesville over Sunday. T. H. McNeese was at Rensselaer Saturday. Wm. Ruly went to Rensselaer Monday for a car load of potatoes. Thurman Smith was a Wheldfield visiter Friday.
