A Careful Cattle Feeder that Made a Test. , Shenandoah, lowa, Feb. 2, 1901 The following is the weight of 70 > catt'e led from May Bth to Nov. 10 1900, thirty head being fed Acme Food and 40 head without. Each lor, fen the same amount of given feed ; per head daily. I When they went into feeding lots j the Acme sea steers averaged 1046| pounds. The ones not fed Acme averaged 10451 pounds. The cattle that were fed the Acme Food made an average gain of 75 pounds per month for the entire six months. Those not fed ihe food ntade an average gain of 59 pounds per head per month. The cattle fed the Acme Food gained 16 pounds per month more on the same grain ration. Cattle weighed within a pound of of each other when they went inlo the lob.
