Kidnaped Student Is Rescued.
Rochester H. Rogers, Williams' college, 1903, was the victim of a practical joke at Williamstown, Mass., being kidnaped by four masked men, who were evidently hired by fellowstudents of the victim. Stanley Washburn, son of ex-Senator Washburn of Minnesota, rescued Rogers from his abductors about three miles south of the college. Washburn on horseback followed the cab in which his friend Rogers was being whisked away, and with a revolver,, forced the captors to deliver up the young man. Rogers comes from Rochester, N. Y. He was roughly handled and considerably bruised in his struggle to escape.
