ON A SERIOUS CHARGE.
Charles Sigman is Arrested at Lafayette Charged with Incest. Deputy Prosecutor Parkinson went to Lafayette Tuesday and Lrought back with him Charles Sigman, the 24 year-old son of Joseph Sigman, who lives seven miles south of town. Young Sigman was arrested by Captain Clark, of the Lafayette police force at Ward’s saw mill, across the river and turned over to Parkinson. He is charged with having committed incest upon -bis fifteen year old sister, who will become a mother in a short time. It was upon her confession that he was arrested. Sigman, who is a big> good looking lellow, is now in jail here. The penalty,for a crime of this kind is a state prison sentence of from two to five years.
