New Scales.

I have recently put in new scales at my wood and coal yard in Rensselaer and will do weighing for the public at the usual charge. All weights guaranteed to be correct. A share of your patronage solicited. J. H. Cox.

The Chicago Florida special made its first trip over the Monon Monday, passing through here in the afternoon. The train is a solid vestibule, consist ing of baggage car. dining car, one 12 section drawing and sleeping car, one 8 section sleeping car and observation car. From Chicago the train runs to, Cincinnati and only stops where there are passengrrsto get on. The train runs over the Monon on Mondays and Thursdays and over other roads the rest of the week. The train arrives at Jacksonville on the evening of the day after departure from Chicago.
