The Farmers’ Institute.
The annual session of the farmers’ institute was held in Rensselaer Mon day and Tuesday and was well patronized by tile prosperous and more intelligent class of farmers, who have found by experience that there is yet much to-be learned in their chosen profession, and are willing to profit by the experience of others. The program was carried out about as advertised. The instructors were H. M. Randel, of Putnam county, and Mrs. J. W. Bates, of Indianapolis. Tuesday evening, in order to acconj modate the large crowd, the closing meeting was held in the M. E. church and was addressed by Mr. Randle. His subject was “Jacob and His Twelve Sons.’’ B. D. Comer was re-elected president of the association. Frank Hoover was elected vice president and Lewis L. Alter, secretary. The time or piece of the next meeting was not decided upon.
