Fourth of July.

According to announcement a large audience assembled at the court houso on last Friday evening to make preliminary arrangements for an appropriate celebration of the Fourth of July. The ineceting was called to order by J. M. Austin, Esq., and Dr. E. T. Harding was called to preside. Committees were appointed as follows: Arrangements.—Messrs. C. C. Starr, W. J. Imes, M. L. Spitler, J. M. Austin, Dr. G. A. Moss. Finance,—Messrs. J. M. Austin, 8. P. Thompson, Ira C. Kelley, R. Fendig and Miss Lydia Dwiggins. Music.—Messrs. J. M. Hopkins, Norman Warner and Mrs. Lucy Starr. Orator.—Hon. R. S. Dwiggins, Hon. E, P. Hammond and D. I. Jackson, Esq. Grounds.—Messrs. J. M. Austin, Peter Rhoades, R. H. Purcupile, C. B. Ste ward and C. M. Hopkins.
