REPUBLICAN CLUB.

Rensselaer, March 27, 1860. Editors of the Gazette: While there are Republican Clubs being organized all over the State, almost every Couuty and Township, yet we here in Jasper appear to be a little dilatory in making a move! This is not for the want of zeal; but doubtless grows out of the fact that we here have been so much in the habit of having it our own way that we suffer our energies to lag and Tfo-, not. feel awake to the great importance attached to it. But when we come to consider the fact that upon the Republicans of Indiana and Pennsylvania the great contest of 1 must necessarily turn, we begin to see and realize it is a matter of great and vita'; importance that we make an early move a-so; by documents and otherwl*®-,.at-tribute light, the true element, of Rep jblicar.i success. Let us not therefore-brethren be* entirely behind, but !et us £.uvneizwiiJ*|»avca club organized in eve-ify township* in the county, and make old Jaspetrfcifier duty in..the great contest that Is at hand! What say you! 7-KirUr.ts. We presume that colament's on the above are unnecessary: Every one can appreciate at a glance the importance of an early, and* thorough orgtrnizastiost of the perry throughout the State which ia to- Ivey with Pennsylvania, the battle ground of the contest of 1860. In order to give the suggestions of Veritas a practical shape we propose that ! the Republicans of Rensselaer, and as many others as may wish to do so r -meet ai Uie Court House on the evening of Saturday, next (March 31) and organize a Club for the coining contest. We hope every body will attend.
