ESgLand. j 'lfhe (attention of all classes is concentra- j ted on the Budget, and meetings pro and con arc held in all directions. The conservatives show increasing hostility to both Budget and commercial treaty with France, and in the House of Lords an explanation had been called for of the article whidh binds England not to prohibit the exportation of coal. Lord Russel stated in Parliament that the apecial mission of Lord Elgin to China had not beefl definitely arranged. Lord Russel also announced that he would introduce a Reform bill the first of March. He that correspondence was progressing with the Government of the United States with respect to free admission to American coasting trade between Eastern States"and California, &.C., but the matter was nothin a position to be laid before the House. In response to Mr. Peel, Lord Russel said that enquiries had been addressed to Sardinia ns to whether there was an intention to cede Savoy Pb France. Sardinia denied any such intention. Earls Granville also announced in the House oFLords, that France will do nothing touching that annexation without first consulting the great po\Vers, and obtaining consent inhabitants. A motion in the House to abolish flogging in the Navy, was negatived. Advices from Madrid state that Marshall O’Donnell is nc.ively engaged in reconnoitering the country surrounding Tetuan; he had received delegations from the Moorish Government, asking on what terms peace wdpltl be granted, and had referred the question to his superior, who had despatched a messenger to Tetuan with the conditions on which peace will be granted. Public spirit, in Spain, is warlike, and it is believed will continue.
ITALY. The Ring of Sardinia arrived at. Milan on the 13th of February. He was received with extraordinary enthusiasm. The «ew Roman loan bill has been negotiated With Belgium capitalists. Nine thousund Bavarians enlisted for the Papal arr y, had arrived. AUSTRIA. Large numbers of political prisoners from Yenitis, are being sent to Selavonia and elsewhere. Austria had seized a large quantity of arms on their way to Sei via, through her territory. I’UUSSIA. The first Chamber had discussed the government matrimonial Jaw, and rejected civil marriage in every form.
A Lost Family.

Returning last fail he found his father, rnother and jtwo sitsers, all his family gone. They had said on leaving thut they were going to Ohio, to Middletown. The hoy went there, but could hear nothing of them. Since thut lie has searched wherever lie could find traces of his family, but without avail. He has spent all iiis money, nnd is now in this city without means or friends. It is a very sad case. If our exchanges w ill give circulation to this statement, it may lead to information that will ejiable the boy to find bis parents. Their names are John Boolier and Margaret Booher.—lndianapolis Journal. The Journal of a later (late says that the enterprising young man is an imposter.
Distressing News from Lieut. Mulleu’s Expedition.
A letter dated Fort Walla Walla., Washington Territory, December 1, says: An express has just reached this post from Lieut. Mullen’s expedition, bringing the sad intelligence- that a severe snow-storm had overtaken the _party in the Rocky Mountains, and thatjmany animals had been lost, and men frozen by the severe cold. Two soldiers of the escort, whosvhad been left as a rear guard to protect certain quarter-masters’ stores, were so badly Injured that it was feared their feet would have to be amputated. The expedition, ' having completed three hundred hiiles of road, was still pushing on to a mild wintering point.

Richmond, Va., March 4. —Gov. Letcher sent into 'the Legislature a communication from Gens. Stark, the Mississippi Commissioner, urging speedy action by Virginia in favor of a Sduthern Conference for her selfpreservation, for the preservation of the Constitution and Union, and the equal rights of all the States and their people in the confederation. It was made the special order for Tuest&y in the Senate and referred to a committee in the House. (y*7"()f the wheat crop in Southern Illinois, the Advocate says: “All the farmers with whom we have had an opportunity of conversing unite in saying that the wheat in this vicinity has been much injured by tho severity of the weather. Some fields—those which w|Jfe sowed late—are supposed to be injured beyond recovery. Other fields, though somewhat, injured, will probably recover upon the opening of spring. It is yet too early to decide upon the prospects of the crop.” Counterfeiters Arrested. —On Monday Feb. 117, a descent was made on a gang of counterfeiters in Le.'ington, Mo., who were caught at altering bills on the Farmer’s Bank of Rhode Island to Farmer’s Bank of Wisconsin, and raising other bank notes, including twenties, Farmer's Bank of Lexington. Fifty two arrests were made. Naomi, the daughter of Noah, was five, hundred and eighty years old when she married. Coafage, ladies, and when discouraged by any' ofjft from marrying on account of age, reply, “Na*o-mi.” A bear, weighing four hundred pounds when dressed, was killed in Green county, fnd., not long ago, by n Mr. Walker.

Leavenworth, March 3, —The Central Overland Express has arrived here, bringing dates from Camp Floyd to February Bth, Salt Luke to the 19th, and Denver City to the 22d. All was quiet at Salt Lake. The health of the troops at Camp Floyd arid Fort Bridger was good Business was improving at Denver City. New diggings have been discovered in different sections of the country.
