RAILROAD ACCIDENT.

We learn from Mr. Calvin Landon, of this .place, that an accident occurred on the Logansport and Peoria Railroad, one mile east of Kent’s Station in this county, last Saturday. A rail.broke which threw the locorno,tive and several freight cars off the track. ?Four cars were destroyed. Two cars, filled with fifty barrels of whisky each,were thrown .•off endways. A passenger car was attached to the rear of the train, but no person was - injured. - The Middleport Republican complains that me road is unsafe, on account of the scarcity of ties, they being to far apart.
