NO CONTEST IN i 860!
The late elections have decided the fate of the Democratic party, and next jear will witness one of the most glorious victories ever won by the people over a corrupt and rotten Administration. In New \ orfc the Republicans have a majority over the combined Democratic and American parties. The Legislature stands—in the Senate, ‘2l Republicans and 1? Democrats; in the House, 00 Republicans and 08 Democrats, Last year the Republicans had 48,000 less votes than the Democrats and Know-Nothings; now’ they have 8,000 more than all combined. Jn New Jersey the Republicans and Americans united, and carried the State by 8,000 majority, electing a good Republican Governor. Wisconsin has elected a Republican State ticket by 4,000 or 5,000 majority. Harper’s Ferry couldn’t save the Democracy in 1850; Buck and tt>e Little Rebel can’t in 1800. f'-v
