The Difference.

Republicanism is in favor of Freedom. O'd Lineism is in favor of slavery and its extension. Republicanism is in favor of Free Homes for Freemeri. Old Lineism is in favor of “niggers for the niggerless.” Republicanism is in favor of donating the public lands to the actual settlers. Old Lineism is in favor of reserving the public lands for the negroes and their white masters. Republicanism is in favor of an economical administration of the government and the extinguishment of the public debt. Old Lineism spends a*4fbndred millions n year, and wants thirty millions more, to bribe the corrupt officers of Spain to sell them Cubn, so as to have more niggar room. Republicanism is opposed to the further extension of slavery. Old Lineism is in favor of Squatter Soyreignty with Congressional intervention to protect slavery in the territories in case the Sovereigns should fail to do So. This is based on tire Dred Scott interpretation of the Constitution. Republicanism stands by the Declaration of American independence. Old Lineism repudiates it and declares it to be a self-evident He. Republicanism upholds the principles of the Revolutionary fathers. Old Lineism repudiates them as abolitionism and their authors as old fogies who didn’t know how to tell or write what they meant. Republicanism acknowledges the equality of American citizens. Old Lineism acknowledges the equality of American citizens except in the case where the American citizen is of foreign birth. In such cases the government under which he was born, has the right to enforce his services in war without his will.
