The New Orleans True Delta, ot the 25th of May. in speukincr of a reconciliation between Buchanan and Douglas, gives vent to the following: “No reconciliation is ever likely between Douglas and the White House imbecility, and for the best of reasons, namely: that the e loquent and fearless Western champion of Democracy is only too happy to be separated, in public opinion as in fact, from a President and administration that ar ? destined to an immortality .of infamy and disgrace, such as perhaps no child now born will ever see paralleled by successors of theirs in the. profligate eras of the future.” Quef.k Proceeding.—When the Democratic. Convention in Maine commenced its ballot for the last, of the delegates to the National Convention.-the other day, there were not to exceed 500 delegates present. But when the tellers made their count, they found over -eleven hundred ballots in the box! Instead of announcing this I act,'and ordering a new ballot, they proceeded to dock, in equal ratio, from each candidate, till they reduced the aggregate vote to about the number present. Whereupon the success ul candidate was declared elected bv seven majority. The Deifiocriicy are so addicted to cheating with tile ballot that thev can't honest among themselves —Albany Even ivy Tour. G. A. Grow, of Pa., is to devote n month to public, speaking in_ Minnesota during the present canvass. No man can speak more affectively.
