Frank Admission.

Once in a great while an organ or a leader of the Democratic party, in a temporary fit of honesty, brought about, probably, by j “twitchings of conscience,’ speak outcandid- : ly in reference to the demoralization and deI pravity of their organization, acknowledging ' all that its opponents charge against it. As an instance of an “organ” doing this. •we sometime since quoted freely from the Washington Slates, which unbosomed itself with extraordinary candor, confessing the deep sins of the Democracy and the probable consequences. As an instance ofoneof the leaders “telling tales out of school,” we have no less a personage than Senator Tombs, of Alabama, who, in his lat speech in the Senate on the Revenue question, spoke of the wasteful extravagance and corruption of the Democratic Administration at Washington in these terms:

Here one of the chiefs of the party frankly acknowledges that which the Opposition have charged time and again, and which the “organs’" of the Democracy have wasted columns of pettifogging words to deny and disprove! Further comment is needless.
