The Great Secret Out.
Through the indiscretion of one of our Southern allies, the great secret of the consolidated Opposition is let cut. This tattling Mar-plot, without suspecting his man, lias told the whole story to a Washington cor- ‘ respondent of the Louisville Courier, and now all the world knows it. On Tuesday, 'the 15th day of February, A. D., 1859, “the | treaty was verified” between the Opposition, I North and South. Here are the “minutes:” Presidential ticket: Crittenden, ol Keni tucky and Lane, of, Indiana. j Seward “form illy declares his gratification” with this ticket, and pledges support, i The Republicans “concede everything— I platform, man, all is conceded—-.-with the full understanding, however, that they are to nave the division of the spoils.” Seward is to be a Cabinet Minister. Ditto is to control the executive patroni age so aa“to secure his own nomination and election in 1864.” All this, and more, was coinmunicated“in high glee,” by a friend of Mr. Crittenden, to the newspaper correspondent aforcsaidi Why could not this mischievous Mar-plot hold bis tongue?— Oin.
