In the vicinity of Princeton, sqme of the most extensive farmers are losing all their hogs. The disease is also committing sad ravages in the northern part of the county. Thus far, there has been nothing found that will effect a cure. A hog once attacked, seldom well. 05” Dr. Brown Sequord, a surgeon of the .first order, has just concluded, before the London Royal College of Surgeons, a course of six lectures on the physiology and pathology central nervous system. In one of his recent lectures he stated that he found a sppt in the brain—the point of the ‘•pen ’ of the caZamtzs scriptorious— not larger than the a pin, which, if touched, is sudden death, as instant as lightning.
